The Full Story

     Bob and Stella Kinney were a part of Bond Christian Service Camp since before its creation in 1953.  The first decade of Bond Camp meeting minutes are handwritten by Bob.  He and Stella worked tirelessly to help create, promote and continue the Legacy of BCSC.  If you were at a Camp Ladies Auxiliary meeting in the 70's, 80's or even 90's, odds are Stella was there.  In the early days of the camp in the 60's and 70's Bob attended the Kaskaskia Men's Fellowship Meetings held monthly at area churches and without fail would mention Bond Camp and the great work that was occurring there for the Kingdom.  

    Bob and Stella knew the effectiveness of camp, so much so that they put endless amounts of their time and energy into its founding, growth and future.  You may have never had the opportunity to meet Bob or Stella, but if you've been to camp, chances are you've sat in the Kinney Bell Tower or at least heard the bell ring.  Bob and Stella passed their love of kids attending Bond Camp onto their children and grandchildren - their love for Bond Camp has become a Legacy of love and through the generosity of their family we are able to offer camp scholarships to several campers with financial need.  

     If you would like to apply for the Kinney Camp Scholarship please complete the form below and scholarships will be awarded as funds allow.  Funds are limited and may only be used for one camp session per camper per summer.
